Wireless Signal Enhancement
NFPA/IFC-Compliant Public Safety Radio and Cellular Signal Enhancement
Our Services
Sterling Communication Technologies designs, installs, and maintains Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and signal booster solutions that restore reliable wireless coverage in buildings where communication is critical. As leading distributed antenna system installers, we deliver fully engineered public safety radio, cellular signal enhancement, and BDA systems for fire code compliance across healthcare, senior living, education, commercial facilities, and special environments throughout the Rocky Mountain and Gulf Coast regions.
We partner with Comba and Westell Technologies to deploy NFPA- and IFC-compliant ERRC, BDA, and fiber DAS systems, ensuring first responders, staff, and occupants stay connected when it matters most.
Capabilities:
Public Safety DAS & ERRC Systems
Code-required systems that deliver uninterrupted emergency responder radio coverage, designed to meet or exceed NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, and IFC requirements.
Cellular Signal Boosting for Facilities
Carrier-approved cellular DAS and signal-boosting solutions that eliminate dead zones and improve in-building coverage for staff, visitors, and operational systems.
Carrier Coordination & AHJ Compliance
Complete management of permits, AHJ testing, carrier integration, and system commissioning, ensuring your building passes inspection the first time.

FAQs
Wireless Signal Enhancement
What’s the difference between Public Safety DAS and Cellular DAS?
A Public Safety DAS (or BDA) improves radio coverage for first responders and is required by code.
A Cellular DAS enhances commercial carrier signals (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) to improve everyday wireless use for staff and visitors.
Many facilities install both systems to ensure reliable communication for emergencies and operations.
Do I need a Public Safety DAS or BDA system to meet fire code requirements?
Most jurisdictions now require buildings to provide adequate Emergency Responder Radio Coverage (ERRC) to pass inspection. If your facility has dead zones or fails the AHJ’s radio signal test, you’ll need a Public Safety DAS/BDA system to achieve compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, and IFC standards.
How long does it take to design and install a DAS system?
Project timelines vary depending on building size, construction type, carrier approvals, and AHJ requirements. Most Public Safety DAS projects take 6–12 weeks from evaluation to final testing. Cellular DAS systems can take slightly longer due to carrier coordination. Sterling manages the full process spanning assessment, engineering, permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning.
